Roads
The administration of Governor Ibrahim Shehu Shema is engaged in the construction of 23 different road projects covering about 500 kilometers. Fifteen of these roads were initiated by the new administration, while eight others were inherited and completed. The total cost of the projects stands at more than N36.76 billion, out of which the inherited projects amounted to over N11.28 billion, while the ones initiated by the Shema administration will gulp about N26 billion when completed.  The roads include among others:

Improvement of Bayajidda road in Katsina
Impovement of Muhd Bello/ Goriba roads in Katsina

Airport
Completed the expansion of the Katsina International Airport, which apart from the handling of Hajj airlifts has also commenced commercial flights

Mass Transit Buses
A total of N280.4 million was spent on the purchase of Mass transit buses for the Katsina State Transport Authority (KTSTA). Eight mass transit luxirious buses were purchased at N185.6 million, Eighteen-16-seater buses and six Cereto cars for car hire services were bought at the cost of N94.8 million.
 
Housing
A total of 1,520 houses have been constructed across the state:
Construction of 500 Houses at Katsina by the state government at the cost of N2.7 billion
The 34 Local Government Councils are constructing additional 1,020 Houses, 30 in each of the councils.
 
Hotel:
Upgrading of Katsina Motel to a three star hotel (3 Suites, 47 Chalets, 30 Single rooms, a swimming pool). It was established in 1975 and was last renovated in 2000
